Fire Handling Training Held for Ceger PPSU

As many as 53 PPSU personnel of Ceger Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta participated fire handling training, Tuesday (8/23). The training was held at Blunas Park, Jalan Manunggal 2 Ceger.

Before getting the practice, they got explanation and theory material by the instructor.

Martondang, Head Sector of Fire Handling and Rescue for Cipayung Sub-district, said PPSU personnel often arrive at the fire incident first. It means they must get the fire handling training.

“They are the first personnel to arrive at the scene. Basic fire handling must be given,” he said.

Several techniques given are extinguishing the fire with wet sack (manual) or modern with light extinguisher. The training will be also held for other eight urban villages in Cipayung Sub-district.

Meanwhile, Bambang Triwijaya (46), one of PPSU personnel, admitted the training gave him another knowledge which is useful in daily life.

“I hope the training is able to assist more people during fire incident,” he stated.
